Joan Adelaide Ashdown was born at the
beginning of WW II in a small town west of Boston,
MA.
She knew the city before skyscrapers,
when the old John Hancock building told the
weather,when the circus came
to Boston Garden, when the Old Howard was in Scollay Square.
She watched Johnny Kelley run the Boston Marathon, shopped at
Filene's basement, rode the Swan Boats, ate at the famed Union
Oyster House and walked the cobbled streets of old
Boston.
Write what you know
an author once told her, so she did!
She now divides
her time between family in Florida and family on Cape
Cod.
